Hi paulej and samprinci
I too have an ej Special (1962) and have recently finished all the restoration work on it.
I am very pleased with the result.
The ej has been restored to original specs, as she was her a bit of everything when first purchased.
The colour of the old girl is Loddon Green over Atherton Ivory. I have not seen another one in these colours as yet.
I will post some photo's when I work out how to.
I would like to see photo's of your vehicles.
I am a member of the Illawarra Early Holden Club 1948-1978 and we recently had our cars on show at the all grey holden day at Berrima. it is always a good day
down there with lots of nice cars.
Hope to see more posts from you

Gday Buttons, nice to hear from you..

WOW! she sounds really nice. Dont think I've seen that colour either.

Here r some pix of my Eliza Jane... we've done a bit of work to her over the years, & theres still a little to do....
After:

Before:

Best way to add pix is to create an account on http://tinypic.com/

then create an album
then upload your pix

Once pix is uploaded, beside each pic is :
IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards
underneath that is a code:
<img]http://imagepath.jpg[/img>

u have to copy that code on the forum, where u want the pix to appear. The above code is a sample code. It changes each time. so each image has its own unique code, that u have to paste into the forum topic.

Sounds complected, but give it a go. Once u get the hang of it, quite easy.

good luck. looking forward to seeing pix of your old girl! any probs, let me no???

Ciao

Hi Sam
Good to get your thread.
Your car looks great.
How much more work have you got to do on it and when do you expect to get it finished?
Are you a member of the NSW ej eh Car Club?
My son has a nice fully restored 1959 fc Holden and he is a member of the NSW fe fc Car Club.
It may take a bit of practice to get the hang of posting photo's in the meantime if you would like to see both of our cars you can see them on the fb ek Holden Car Club forum under Galleries/other cars of interest/ ejholden page 2. The posting is by Hawk.
Since those photo's were taken of the ej the motor has been fully done and the engine bay resprayed.
Hope you like both of them. They look good when we go out together.
be in touch again soon

http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... =11&t=9707

thanks mate.. yer EJs my pride & joy.. The rust repairs were not done correctly, so we have to do some again. Also when they did the rust repairs to both frnt & Rear screens, the bogged them up so screens didn't sit right... also interior headlining is ripped, plus a few other bits. Plan is to start end of year. should only take a few weeks. Ive got a mate whos a great panel beater who worked on FB.. did some excellent work who I'm going to get to do the work.

Yep! just joined the NSW club. Looking forward to next run. Hope to make it????

here ru your photos from that site, for others to c.. Yep love that colour combo Dennis. Love the spats too. i wanna get them for mine. where did u get them from? R u in NSW? r u a club member?

Hi Sam
Had a look at your ute... It looks great.
Thanks for posting the photo's for me when I am able I will post some up to date pics.
Sounds like it wont be too long and your ej will be finished. great work.
I got my spats made up in Queensland from........ RETRO RODS CUSTOM SHEETMETAL SHED1/28 RAILWAY PDE TIARO QUEENSLAND 4650
PHONE NO. 07 41292569 FAX. 07 4129 2769.
If you go into their web site (http://www.retrorods.net.au ) you will see the different styles they have. There is a photo of my car there.
My spats cost $220.00 incl.gst and delivery to Bargo NSW. The spats come undercoated with black primer ready for the top coat.
good luck with the restoration of the ej.
catch up with you soon
